Holo is looking for Safety Operators for our Operations team in Oslo

Are you looking to be come an expert in autonomous vehicles and help take mobility in the Oslo area to the next level?

As a safety operator for autonomous vehicles, you are an integral part of our new team to actively drive forward this innovative area of mobility. The project started in January 2023 and you will be one of the first safety operators to test, validate and assist with providing proof-of-concept for autonomous vehicles in public transport in Oslo.

What you can expect

This is a great opportunity to quickly gain knowledge and expertise in operating and supporting state-of-the-art autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to operating a fleet of autonomous vehicles. You will be part of a culture of teamwork and a healthy, high-performing environment.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Ensuring the service of the autonomous vehicle in a large suburban area
  • Provide detailed feedback on driving experience, safety performance, security, passenger impressions and other topics of interest to internal departments
  • Collect and upload data and log files
  • Light user maintenance of the vehicles
  • Be part of a team of safety drivers in a time-sensitive and demanding environment
  • Handling of any incident as defined in relevant training
  • Hosting passengers and explaining about Holo and related technologies

This is a full-time position in our office and garage in Oslo; Grorud Valley.

What we are looking for

As a person, you are outgoing and well-organised. You are a proficient driver with many years of experience, and you are always able to focus on the task at hand. You can stay calm under pressure and you work well alone as well as with others. You are able to work independently while staying coordinated with the rest of the Holo team.

What you need to succeed:

  • Type B drivers license (Førerkort klasse B). Driving record must not include: DUI violations, at-fault driver incidents with casualties or serious injuries or severe traffic violations within the last year
  • Able to obtain Norwegian “Kjøreseddel”
  • Driving experience, minimum 5 years. Advanced driving experience is preferred, but not a must.
  • Mechanical and/or technical skills
  • Strong English language skills - both written and oral
  • Understanding of software and computers - in order to be able to troubleshoot if something goes wrong in the vehicle and submit bug reports describing issues
  • Service-oriented - outgoing and communicative when there are visitors in the vehicle

It’s great if you have:

  • Previous experience with professional driving, such as racing, taxi driving, truck driving or similar
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar
  • Experience of working with project management tools, such as Wrike, Clickup, Jira or similar, and an aptitude for learning new applications and tools
  • Experience in training others
